I have been using tracker for at least 7 years. My cat is constantly losing his collar. Most of the time I can find it. Sometimes it is lost in places I can't get to. It gives me comfort to find him. He comes in at night when I buzz him. He knows a treat is waiting. It would be 5 * if the tracker wasn't so hard to get in case. I really prefer the clear/white case.
For my cat, Tabcat is so much better than a GPS system. Replacement tags and cases came quickly in the mail, and work fine. Easy to find tags when looking. Added bonus: because the tag on the collar beeps, my cat hears the beeps and comes running when I activate it. Very cute. ^ .. ^
So far it works pretty good. We have 1 cat that likes to wander off. Now we know where he is.
I have used a TabCat for years; even back when it was a "Loc8tor Plus." I think highly of it and it has improved with revisions. For the best, however, team it with a GPS system (I use Tractive). Both devices fit comfortably on your cat's collar. When searching, I first hit the GPS on my smartphone. Then if I have to physically search for my dear cat, I head in the direction given by the GPS, and use the TabCat to zero in. This also yields redundancy: when one system is down, the other supports. I would have it no other way.
Great item, peace of mind knowing if the cats get out accidentally that we will have the ability to find them.
We were fans of Version 1 but after a few years one of the tracking devices stopped working on one of our cat collars so we decided to upgrade. It works fine out of the box and the new shape of the collar tracking devices are a nice improvement. This system has worked well for us in the past and is much less expensive than other GPS style tracking systems. For around $100 you can track two cats and my original system lasted for a few years. I would recommend this system to others.
Haven’t had to test it on a lost cat but upon home testing it works great!
We take out cats with us on RV trips every year. Some of the places we stay we let them out to wonder. They stay close but still find places out of our sight, and if you know cats some will never answer back when called. With tagcat we can find them easily. It works flawlessly for locating our four cats.
My kitties and I love our Tabcat Tracker. They are happy that I can let them outside and I am happy I no longer spend so long getting them back in. The tracker has very good range and the batteries last a long time. I've had my trackers for about two years now and they are still working well.
I finally had to let my indoor kitties go outside. The stress of making sure they were back in the house each night was exhausting. Calling them and wandering around our property, hoping they weren’t injured somewhere or stuck in someone’s garage or up a tree, was a nightly stress. But I’ve had the Tabcat RF finder for a week now and my life is changed. It takes me right to them as I walk around watching the lights flash in their direction. And they seem to sense it’s time to come home as they respond to the beeping sound in their collar. I am so relieved to have found this device! It seems very durable with the silicon cover. I can breathe easy each night now, knowing I will be able to to find them and bring them safely home each night.
I have 3 cats and a fully fenced, cat escape proof yard, a huge catii and 5 cat doors into my house. Still I want to know my cats location at all times. The credit card size tracker works great, sounds and lights making it easy to find each cat. The tabs are small and the cats dont mind wearing them. After using the tracker for a few months my cats would come when they hear the sound. I have a back up set in case I loose one. All cats, even indoor cats, should wear one!

We have 4 cats and live in a remote area where our AirTags didn’t wiork. We needed something reliable to locate our cats. This is light weight on their collar and easy to use.

We have a little wanderer and this device just pays for itself! Not only does it provide peace of mind to help me find her when it's time to tuck into bed and all the other times we need her home, but it also helps us find her collar when it comes undone. We have the tracker connected to a breakaway collar that is looped through a birdsafe collar. Up until now, we were going through about two pricey collars a month because she was finding herself in tight spaces or whatever happens when it pops off. The tracker was able to start beeping three houses away in our neighborhood and the tracker took me straight to the collar, which was on the other side of my neighbor's fence. There's no way I could have found it with a naked eye and we would have been buying another collar and started all over again! And probably again and again. Thanks so much tabcat!
Works great! Much more reliable than an AirTag.
I got TabCat to track down my indoor-outdoor cats, who tend to wander enough to make me worry about them, and it has been very effective for that purpose. This is not a GPS tracker that will show you on your phone exactly where your cat is (like an AirTag or Tile will do), but it will definitely lead you to them when they are within the signal radius. For me, that means walking up and down my street until the signal picks up my cat, then it does a super job with flashing lights and beeps to lead me to him. Added bonus--he now knows that when his collar beeps, he gets treats, so he's happy to be found. Lastly, this can track up to four cats. Although the tracker I ordered only came with two collar tags, it has four ports, so all I had to do was order two more tags to track all four of our cats. I haven't had it for very long (about a month), but have had no battery issues so far, which makes sense because the battery is only used when the tracker is turned on. Overall, this was a fairly inexpensive solution to tracking my cats that has led to so much peace of mind. I highly recommend it!
Got this due to a frequent runner from our household, who is quite quick and dark-furred. She's not getting so far, now. =)

Had to order two more transmitters because one of out cats lost his in a place where we were unable to retrieve it. The tracker found it, but it was unreachable.
Tabcat is awesome - it has literally saved my cat's life, reduced my stress about letting my cat roam and made both of our lives so much happier.
**BUT** in this particular order - which was supposed to be a bundle - the cases were missing (only the tags were in the package). I like to keep some as a backup b/c they do get lost ... pls consider this a request to send me the cases I paid for. thanks!
I had to buy a new one because the previous one stopped working. Did not know how to get it going again. Please add a trouble shooting section the manual!
We have two cats. One is a bolter and the other one is a scaredy cat. We initially thought the price was too steep for us but now we feel that it’s totally worth it. For our scaredy cat especially, an 850 sqft apartment never felt so big until you're looking for a cat that doesn’t want to be found. The tabcat tracker has always come in handy fishing her out. It just gives you a peace of mind.
